With the transfer of responsibility for public health from primary care trusts to local authorities, staff and contracts have been inherited as part of this change. With a significant contract value being transferred and missing or out of date information, local authorities have required help to restore clarity. V4 have provided a full review of all contractual arrangements for public health contracts and to deliver action plans to address issues raised.
The work we have delivered has helped public health teams to fully integrate into council operations, ultimately enabling effective promotion of better public health outcomes. By entering into negotiations with suppliers, V4 can also identify opportunities to increase value for money and deliver efficiency savings. By reviewing existing local authority services V4 can show where there is potential to deliver wider public health outcomes.
